Arts, Beats & Eats “Toy Drive”

What better way then to end the last Arts, Beats and Eats of the year by benefiting a non-profit organization that provides quality education, treatment and care to children and families with special needs. Wordsworth.org along with Youth Action were the two organizations we donated the new/used toys to. The purpose of these social mixers are to bring young like minded professionals under one roof and incorporate fine arts and music. I noticed that more people were interacting with one another and making connections. The Arts, Beats and Eats Spotlight may be one of the reasons for that.

We raffled off one of the live painting done by artist Iye Yinde along with gift bags from some of the vendors (IbnMajid, Mijourne, House of Ra’oof, Missfit Vintage, Brittany Deshields, Amercian Dreaming Mag and Urbanea) and gift certificate from the venue Primo Bacio Ristorante. We also had Smyte Mine and Crucial feed off of each other for our spoken word segment. I would thank all who were in attendance at each ABE (Mayflower, Book Drive, Health and Wellness, School Supply drive, Breast Cancer Awareness, Canned good drive and Toy drive) look forward to seeing you next year January  2nd or every first Sunday of every month.

Special thanks to Shaheed Rucker and Gianni Lee. Without them Arts, Beats and Eats would not be possible.
