Kings Inspire Kings: The Brooklyn Circus
“Never give up and never give in”
Being a student of fashion I’m always looking for things to be inspired by. If I have a chance to come face to face with someone or something I admire then I will do so. During my stay in NY, it was only right that I stop by The Brooklyn Circus store. It’s not only the style of the clothes but the entire Brooklyn Circus movement I admire.
They give you a lifestyle filled with quality, style and character which balance out to make an amazing brand. As a collective 99% of their clothing is inspired by someone from the team which gives the brand a unique versatillty due to each member having his or her input in the creative process.
The visit started with me just wanting to check out the store and get a few pictures. As time went by more and more people started to come and a half a hour turned into 2 hours. It ended up with me building lasting relationships with different folks from the store & having a one on one with the creative director Ouigi aka “the Bearded Man”. As him and Gabe prepared for the Magic Trade-show we indulged in a convo with Quigi dropping so many jewels that I had to take notes.
King’s Wisdom- Ouigi from Brooklyn Circus
- Never give up and Never give in
- Stick to your original ideas
- Be a man of your word
- Maintain future and to continue to foster or stuff will go to waste
- Maintain your relationships and keep the legacy going
