Arts, Beats & Eats “Stress Relief”

  • Sharebar

Words can not express the joy I feel when Arts, Beats & Eats is over. I get excited just thinking about the next first Sunday of the month. I believe my partners Shaheed Rucker of Changemakers Org & Gianni Lee of Babylon Cartel feel the same way. April is “Stress Relief ” as well as “Women’s Fitness” month, so we based the theme around those two initiatives.  We invited Denae Parks a Philadelphia personal trainer who caters to women to speak on behalf of “Women’s Fitness Month”.

For “Stress Relief” Chris Timberlake owner of Knead of Touch Massage Therapy was on hand giving massages & yoga instructor Hadji Jones discussed the benefits of yoga. Hadji is running to be the first black male on the cover of Yoga Journal http://t.co/f7j4TjH, so please vote for him.

Live artist J.W. Hufnagle brought light to the event with the bright color palette he chose to use on his two live paintings. He also raffled off one of his paintings as well as 3 tees shirts from his clothing line Sweettooth Specialtees. Poetically Free aka Luis Marrero &  Nice were the two spoken word artist that completed an enriching and captivating Arts, Beats & Eats!
