“Rule of Three”
When I hear the words “custom lifestyle” I think of creating your own destiny and making your own rules. Putting things together that don’t necessarily belong but make them work for you is a great way to describe the event that took place by the good brothers over at ButchershopReab, Search and Rescue, and Co-laborative lab. You might have heard of Search and Rescue before as they created my installation at the “K.R.T. New Online Launch” event. With each of these brands being skilled in their own craft collaborating in the installation of this space in Harlem 218 E. 125th st. Ny, Ny they were able to create an event showcasing a custom lifestyle through art, furniture, and fashion.
Search and Rescue provided unique antique props as the backdrop for showcasing custom furniture by ButchershopRehab, and original Colaborative lab paintings and wearable art. The experience was very gallery meets Trunk Show and all items on the floor were for sale. By way of many people being in attendance, tweeting and instagraming, it made the experience much greater by having those in tune with social networking wondering what was happening at the event as they took pictures of the unique display. All and all this was a great way of Kings Ruling Together. - K.R.T.
Check out some of pictures I captured at this event HERE.

“Some of the most stylish men from all over the globe”
I’m always looking for stylish people to shoot on the street, some areas are more abundant with style then others. There have been days when I went out looking for people to shoot and didn’t find anybody. So when the opportunity presented itself after my interview with Marcus Troy “hint” it was much appreciated due to the fact that some of the most stylish people in the world were in one place. Check out these cool guys I had the pleasure of photographing at Project Las Vegas.- K.R.T.

“Originality, enhancement and overall swagger” – ABE Best Dressed
Arts, Beats and Eats is a event that is designed to bring out the best in its attendees from choices of music, conversation and even style. Promoting uniqueness and individuality, every first Sunday I scope the room looking for the guy that deserves the Arts, Beats and Eats Best Dressed Spotlight. Although, my blog highlights men fashion, my partner Gianni Lee, of Babylon Cartel, features the Best Dressed women on his blog.

From the hours of 8-6 July 17 through July 19 exhibitors such as Tawfeeq Gaines of TSR for Rheyn Clothing patiently waited for buyers to partake in their showcasing of contemporary brands in a Soho gallery. Infused with a bloggers lounge, curated by Mr. Connect-the-Dot himself Marcus Troy, which featured blogs such as The Denim Guy, Denim Therapy, William Yan, Selectisim, The Madbury Club, Por Homme and Avederoutfit. Project had everything from a Ping Pong table, miles of free magazines, a free photography installation called Splashlight & if you forgot to get a haircut ProjectNYC had you covered by inviting The Blind Barber.
This time around was a little different than earlier this year (Kings Conquer Tradeshow). I wasn’t able to visit the other trade shows BlueENK & Capsule so it gave me a more personal experience observing some of the new & upcoming trends while connecting with some of the brands. My two favorite brands were CREEP by Hiroshi Awai , Strivers Row and the KSwiss the Joey Yates collection. I was also impressed with Feltraiger , who has improved since the last time I came in contact with them. The abundance of stylish individuals attending Project were buyers, store owners, stylists, bloggers, marketing specialists, and designers. To be surrounded by the inner workings of the fashion industry was very inspiring and allowed me to appreciate the business side of fashion, which most people tend to over look.
