“Positive feedback from the online community is really motivating for me” – Ivan Kasaj

I recently had the opportunity to be apart of a project composed of digital illustrations, created by up and coming illustrator/artist by the name of Ivan Kasaj. This was my first time working with someone who lives outside of the United States so I wanted to know a little bit more about him and his journey. The Trnava, Slovakia native Ivan Kasaj, is a freelance illustrator who likes to focus on men’s fashion, and ultimately turned his passion into a job.

Ivan started studying applied arts in high school, moving on to receive a PH.D in marketing communications. After working as an Ad Agency Art Director in Leo Burnett Bratislava, Ivan decided he wanted to pursue his love for fashion. Drawing motivation from the online community, Ivan receives positive feedback from bloggers, and supporters from social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. He recently was asked to be apart of Mark Dawber’s “Great Big Book of Fashion Illustration“.

Focusing on the creativity of men’s style, and not so much on brands, Ivan wants people to follow him as he “works with some of the most emerging young fashion labels in Europe, and also work again on the “icons of style” & “gents with style” series”. – K.R.T.

This is how my moustaches would look if I let it grow out.
