On Saturday June 1,2013 in Mt. Trashmore, Virginia we had the pleasure to be part of a historical movement. Eight months of planning and a life-long dream culminated in one afternoon for Rob Hill Sr. With a crowd of over 1,000 supporters cheering behind him, Hill cut the ribbon and commenced his first ever “Thousand Kings Walk.”
While vending at the walk, we were still able to embrace all of the positive energy that was in the park. From networking with our co-vendors, to meeting some of the scholarship recipients and their parents our experience in Mt.Trashmore will go down as one of our most insightful days here at K.R.T.
Hill spoke to local news reporters and said “It’s far better than I ever could’ve imagined. I’ve been dreaming about this day for eight months. Every day, I’ve been thinking about this day abd when I had my son, who’s five years old, I started waking up,” said Hill, “I started to aspire, I started wanting to push people in the right way.
Hill hopes his “Thousand Kings Walk” receives national attention in the near future, and it may already have. According to Hill and Virginia local news stations, two days after the walk, Coca Cola called Mr. Hill expressing their interest to sponsor his Thousand Kings Walk in the future. I guess you can say Kings Inspire Kings. – K.R.T.
